Feature
★This picture book is about a special mother who practices yoga. The child doesn’t like his mother to walk down the town with yoga clothes. Moreover, she always makes the strage postures like animals with her body, but he wants her to read the picture book more. The child felt embarrassed with his extraordinary mother, but started to look at his mother differently since an school athletics competition.
Description
When the child felt embarrassed by having a "different" mother, his distress was immediately perceived by the author, Kim Soo-jeong. Through the mother's mouth, she gave a straightforward reply: "Don't hold back; stand tall!" The story also made the whole family reconsider their relationships: parents learned to understand their child's thoughts, and the child began to empathize with his parents' positions.
The child couldn't stand his mother walking around the community in yoga clothes, and he was even more intolerant of her always posing her body into various strange animals. He would rather his mother read him a few more picture books. This "unusual mother" made him feel embarrassed, but a sports meeting quietly changed his view of his mother...

I enjoy daydreaming and playing by myself. One day while cleaning, I came across a spider named Lucy weaving a web in the corner. Looking at its neat silk threads that seemed to be measured with a ruler, I suddenly wondered: Does this creature also have the same "neatness obsession" as me? On one hand, I felt a sense of empathy, but on the other, I was worried that it might also miss out on what truly matters because of this. I hope all the "Lucys" in the world can break free from the chains of compulsion.
Tae-ran Kim
She enjoys drinking coffee alone and taking quiet walks. She nods to the plants that have remained in the same spot, greets the newly blooming wildflowers, the carefree cats, and the ants in line. She wants to share her feelings and make a new gentle friend, so she once again reaches out and presents her new paintings to the world. She has been painting for a long time and is active in the field of illustration.
