Description
There might be yolk inside, a chick or a duckling – or even some strange things.
Of course, there’s also you, crying loudly.
This is a father’s imaginative vision of waiting for his child to be born. What will the newborn baby look like when it’s brought out of the delivery room? He used eggs as a metaphor to create this “hatching book”.
The story uses repeated syllables to mimic the sounds of different animals: the chick’s “chirp”, the duckling’s “quack”, the snake’s “hiss”, and so on. It’s simple, fun, and easy to recite, making it perfect for parents to read to their babies. It also enhances the bonding between parents and children.
