Description

Author

Yevgenia Kretova (born in 1979) is a Russian best - selling author of young adult fantasy! She is a dynamic prose writer and a science fiction novelist! She has won the Russian "Manuscript of the Year" National Literary Award, the New Children's Book Award, the Children's and Young Adult Prose Competition, the Electronic Character Literary Award, and has been nominated for the Reader's Choice Award and the Russian Detective Award!

Born in Prague, Yevgenia Kretova is the daughter of a military officer and has lived in various cities around the world, such as Tbilisi, Moscow, Blagoveshchensk (my mother is from Blagoveshchensk), Akhalkalaki, and Nerungri, each of which has become a part of her. Before becoming a writer, she worked as a lawyer. Her legal experience and extensive travel have provided her with meticulous thinking and extraordinary imagination! Her writing style excels in depicting alternate universes, the intricate interplay of mysticism and realism, Slavic historical fantasy, detective, and science fiction novels.

In 2021, her work won second place in the "Send Your Story to Space" competition, held in honor of the 60th anniversary of Yuri Gagarin's flight, jointly organized by the Russian Federal Space Agency and LitRes, the largest electronic and audiobook publishing platform in Russia and the CIS countries. Her work was sent to the International Space Station aboard the Progress cargo spacecraft in October 2021!
