Author
Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, the "Winged Poet," was born in Lyon, France, in 1900. A pilot at twenty-six, he was a pioneer of commercial aviation and flew in the Spanish Civil War and World War II. His writings include The Little Prince, Wind, Sand and Stars, Night Flight, Southern Mail, and Airman's Odyssey. In 1944, while flying a reconnaissance mission for his French air squadron, he disappeared over the Mediterranean.
【Illustrator】
Zhang Siqi was born in Huizhou, Guangdong, China. She studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Bologna, where she completed her postgraduate studies, and she currently lives and works in Italy.
Her work has gained international recognition: in 2021 she received the “Città dei Portici” Prize at the BOit! International Illustration Contest. She was selected for the Illustrators Exhibition at the Bologna Children’s Book Fair 2025, and her project Go to the Park Together was featured in the “Wow Bookshelf” at the same fair. In addition, she was shortlisted for the 2025 Nami Island International Picture Book Illustration Concours in South Korea. In 2026 her illustrations for The Little Prince, published by ideestortepaper, were again selected for the Illustrators Exhibition at the Bologna Children’s Book Fair.
