Like 'The Catcher in the Rye', this is a story of growing up. Nils's journey represents the exploration of and longing for life, exploring themes of money, death, and the meaning of life, which remain highly enlightening today.
— David Freeman, Renowned Theater Director

Lagerlöf spent three years immersing herself in nature, studying animals and birds, and collecting unpublished folk tales, weaving them all into a moving fairy tale.

Description

"Please Reply, Mr. Toad" is adapted from the classic fairy tale "The Wonderful Adventures of Nils" by Nobel Prize laureate Selma Lagerlöf. It tells the story of a mischievous boy who dislikes studying and loves playing. After teasing a little elf, he is transformed into a toad wearing a suit, embarking on an adventurous journey across thousands of miles.
Riding on the back of a goose and traveling with a flock of wild geese, the boy-toad faces numerous challenges. Along the way, he outsmarts a fox, drives away rats, and rescues a gray goose. As the journey deepens, the beautiful landscapes of Sweden unfold, and ancient legends come to life. Having tasted both hardships and kindness, he eventually transforms back into a human, becoming a gentle, kind, hardworking, and helpful boy.

This series is divided into three volumes, corresponding to three major themes: "Journey of Awakening," "Regaining Courage," and "Metamorphosis of Growth." It progressively guides children to understand themselves, manage their emotions, and build self-confidence.

This is a psychological education comic book that not only allows children to enjoy the fun of reading but also helps parents engage in deep conversations with their children.
