Description
Through vibrant, immersive illustrations, the book shows that truth cannot be suppressed — it may be hidden or ignored for a while, but it will always reappear.
Lies follow a very different path: they rumble like an avalanche, sink to the deep ocean floor, lie useless under the earth, burn until nothing remains, and wander endlessly in the dark because they can never shine. This visual contrast gives children a clear and accessible way to understand the emotional and relational consequences of lying, without moralising.
The book ends on a humorous, familiar note: an adult asks a child who ate the cake from the fridge. After an entire journey celebrating the power of truth… the child points at the dog. A light, memorable ending that gently reminds readers that learning honesty is a process — one that grows over time.
