Born in 1977 in Yiling District, Yichang City, Hubei Province. He is a Platinum-level author at Yuewen Group.
In 2003, he published his debut work “Ten Years of the Yingxiu” on Qidian under the pen name Beiyangshu. Later, under the pen name Mao Ni, he created works including “The Story of the Red Bird,” “Joy of Life,” “Interlude,” “The Night,” and “The Legend of the Choice.”
“The Story of the Red Bird” won the Gold Award for Fantasy at the 2007 Sina Original Literature Awards. “Joy of Life,” serialized on Qidian, gained massive popularity and became “one of the most popular web novels of 2008.” “Interlude” won the Silver Award at the 2013 West Lake Genre Literature Biennial.
