Description

The story follows a grandfather and his grandson, who love sharing everything with each other: their bedroom, candy, a passion for baseball, and even the name "Leon"—and so much more. One day, however, the elderly grandfather is hospitalized. He tells his grandson that he is not sick, but rather participating in a space agency selection process, so that he can go into space and pluck a star for Leon.

The book presents the perspectives of both Grandpa Leon and little Leon, describing their views on the same events and their current lives. To avoid hurting each other, they both choose to hide certain things from one another, comforting each other with white lies.

About the author
Antonio Malpica is among the most prolific and renowned writers in the realm of Children’s and Young Adult Literature in Mexico. Despite being interested in music, he decided to study computer engineering at the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM). His work is distinguished by the depth of its characters, its captivating plots, and the frequent inclusion of fantasy and mystery elements.
His work has received recognition and acclaim both nationally and internationally. His dedication to literature is further demonstrated through his involvement in workshops and conferences, where he promotes reading and creative writing among young people.
