Yet this dazzling forest gradually loses its luster due to sudden visitors... After axes, ladders, and wheelbarrows come and go, only severed stumps remain, a desolate wasteland. Where have the transparent trees gone? They have retreated underground, quietly waiting for the day they will bloom again, carrying their light within. Majored in Child Studies for her undergraduate degree and Early Childhood Education for her graduate degree. She wears multiple hats as a picture book writer, animation director, and university professor.

A representative Korean picture book writer, beloved by readers for his refined and profound text and illustrations. He studied architecture at Hanyang University, dreaming of building houses full of stories, and now builds houses of stories for children within books. Other works include The Stars and Me, Mr. Fox Builds a House, Play with Me, Yellow Boots, Transparent Trees, and The Small Lotus Pond.
