Description

“What is my happiness?” This is the question that puzzles Xixi when faced with a school essay.

Curious and innocent, Xixi sets out through the village asking everyone she meets: Second Grandpa, her friend Ma Qi, the goat herder and the chicken keeper, Uncle, a little girl, a boy from the neighboring village, Grandpa Wang, Grandma… Each person shares their own answer about “happiness”—ordinary yet genuine joys drawn from their everyday lives.

Gradually, Xixi begins to understand what happiness means. She returns home, rummaging through boxes and drawers until she finds what she’s been looking for: a slightly yellowed letter from her parents, tucked inside her notebook. And there, she discovers her very own happiness.
