Description
This installment centers on the protagonist, Soso, a mouse author, and her journey of self-discovery and healing. As her children’s books lose popularity and she faces doubt and a blow to her confidence, Soso is invited to visit Choo-Choo Elementary School in the countryside for an author meet-and-greet. Along the way, she struggles with self-doubt, but once she arrives, she draws strength from the children’s innocence and companionship. There, she also reunites with a childhood friend, comes to realize that “even ordinary everyday life holds beauty,” and ultimately rediscovers her original creative passion and the value of being loved. With a delicate touch, the story conveys a warm core message about self-acceptance, cherishing meaningful connections, and embracing growth with a positive mindset—resonating deeply with both children and parents.
Author
A leading Korean children’s literature author, she has received numerous prestigious awards, including the 2nd Kumho Jeong-in Children’s Literature Award, the 54th Korean Publishing Culture Award, and the 5th Changwon Children’s Literature Award. Meanwhile, through tender and heartfelt narratives like “The Hamster and I” and “A Spring Dream,” she has carved out a unique voice in the Korean children’s literature scene. The “Little Mouse Writer Soso” series marks her long-awaited return to children’s fiction and is her first project conceived from the outset as a multi-book series, aiming to create enduring literature that will accompany young readers for years to come. Through charming, endearing characters, meticulously crafted plots, and heartwarming, healing stories, she offers solace to her readers’ hearts.
