——Liu Cixin, Hugo Award winner, Author of "The Three-Body Problem"
Feature
In 2016, her novel “Folding Beijing” won the 74th Hugo Award for Science Fiction. She is the second Chinese sci-fi author after Liu Cixin to receive a Hugo Award, and the first Asian woman to receive the Hugo Award.
*The Hugo Award, named in memory of Hugo Gernsback, the "Father of Science Fiction Magazines", is presented by the World Science Fiction Society (WSFS). First awarded in 1953 at the World SF Convention, it is the highest international award in the field of sci-fi literature, known as the "Nobel Prize of Sci-Fi".
★ Her full-length sci-fi novel “Vagabonds” has been licensed to the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, Spain, and other countries, all published by internationally renowned publishing giants such as Simon & Schuster and Penguin Random House. This work was shortlisted for the 35th Arthur C. Clarke Award in 2021, becoming the first Chinese-language work to be nominated for the award. It was also selected as a New York Times 2020 Globetrotting Pick and included in A Lit Hub's Most Anticipated Books of 2020.
*The Arthur C. Clarke Award was established in 1987 with the support of British sci-fi writer Arthur C. Clarke, aiming to recognize the best science fiction novel published in the United Kingdom the previous year, regardless of the author’s nationality. It is regarded as “the UK’s most prestigious science fiction prize” and is one of the major awards in sci-fi literature, alongside the Hugo and Nebula Awards.
★ Highly praised by Liu Cixin, the world-renowned science fiction writer, Hugo Award winner, and author of "The Three-Body Problem"!
★ A cosmic version of Hogwarts, a magical academy existing within the universe, serving as the ultimate STEAM lab and maker space, specifically enrolling youngsters with unique imaginations. Here, the core of the story is not about combat, but about creation, discovery, and healing; it's about curiosity, dreams, love, and art; it explores what fundamentally makes us human in a future with advanced technology.
From unique architectural structures shaped by space microgravity to cutting-edge technological inventions in the academy; from encouraging children not to overlook every thought to helping them realize various whimsical ideas. It aims to provide children around the world with a cosmic stage full of miracles and adventures, inspiring them to become future citizens with imagination, empathy, and the ability to collaborate in solving complex problems.
★The Stellar Academy and its unique, mind-bending sci-fi concept of the “Civilization Scroll” have the potential to become another shining classic imagery in the history of world science fiction, evolving into an international phenomenon IP. Its sci-fi concepts excite sci-fi enthusiasts, much like the “monolith” in “2001: A Space Odyssey,” the “dual-vector foil” in “The Three-Body Problem,” or the “space elevator” in “The Wandering Earth” – these images leave a lasting impression on readers.
