Review
—[UK] Martin Salisbury, Founder and Professor of the Children's Book Illustration MA, Cambridge School of Art
"Whether a child or an adult, one always needs space to liberate oneself, moments to breathe freely. Getting lost might symbolize a certain form of transgression, but as long as balance can be found within appropriate boundaries, it is actually beneficial rather than harmful to personal growth. Through such free and unrestrained visual play, Yu Rong lets young readers experience the exhilaration of 'getting lost' depicted in the poem."
—A Jia, Children's Reading Promoter
Feature
★ Winner of the 9th China Children's Book List "Best Children's Book Award," selected for the "National Top 100 Recommended Publications for Young Readers," and a recommended title in the children's category of the 17th Wenjin Book Award.
★ Adopting the complex design of a "book within a book", it presents the content of reality - fantasy - reality. The circular story structure from the cover to the back cover highlights the "pictographic" feature of Chinese characters, endowing the story with more literary and artistic qualities and initiating a wonderful duet among Chinese characters, literature and art.
★ The story focuses on a child's need for independence and security, conveying the happiness of being loved, which creates strong emotional resonance. Unfolding through a poem about "getting lost," the young protagonist embarks on a dreamlike adventure... A child who loves freedom and exploration longs to express their emotions fully within the attention and care of family. It is precisely this understanding and love from family that grants the child a sense of security and courage, guiding their way forward.
