Description
According to an article in The Guardian, without a secure and loving relationship in childhood, our ability to live authentically and healthily is compromised—a theme that connects directly to IFS therapy and self-compassion practices. Throughout adulthood, many of the decisions, blockages, or conflicts we experience stem from repressed childhood emotions: anger, sadness, fear, betrayal. This book proposes facing these emotions head-on and acknowledging the "silent revenge" of the inner child who still resides within us.
With a therapeutic approach rooted in Gestalt and depth psychology, Manuel Cuesta Duarte invites us to reconnect with that wounded part of ourselves that is asking to be heard. Far from fostering victimhood, he guides us toward emotional reconciliation, maturity, and inner peace. It is a brave, clear, and revealing read that paves the way for authenticity and self-acceptance.
