Description

The gap between children with excellent language scores and average children mainly stems from vocabulary size. For instance, children with insufficient vocabulary often confidently choose answers in multiple-choice questions but admit to not knowing the meaning of the options when asked.
The phenomenon of "answering without understanding the word meaning" is actually quite common. Children may choose "obviously wrong options" precisely because of their limited vocabulary.
No matter how hard they study language, without sufficient vocabulary, they cannot correctly understand the text. Sometimes they are even unable to choose because they do not understand the words in the options.
In other words, the foundation of language ability lies in "mastering vocabulary".
This book uses "paraphrasing training" as the core method to help consolidate vocabulary. For example, replacing "happy" with "joyful", "fortunate", "delighted" and so on, can evoke a variety of expressions.
By developing the habit of "multiple replacements for one word," vocabulary naturally grows, and language application skills improve simultaneously.
The book not only provides specific training methods but also shares tips on integrating them into learning habits.
As a consultant for elementary-to-junior-high school exams, I have witnessed this method significantly boost the scores of many elementary students.
Please practice happily with your child and cultivate the good habit of enhancing vocabulary!
