Review

In fact, 'Control' is a story that transcends time, space, and the world. Time is broad, cities are virtual, and the core of what we care about is actually playing with 'manipulation'.
——Daniel Wu

Human controllers are more easily perceived, while institutional controllers are not. We are unconsciously influenced by the system—— leon dai

Foreword

Wedge
The sky is dim and oppressive, making people want to escape.
I don't know when the sky in this city started to become so dim, and the children couldn't remember the smell of sunlight. In their minds, the sky may have been this color originally.
There is a gentle breeze, and a white kite is floating in the air, swaying unsteadily. The string controlling the kite extends far to the ground and is held in the hand of a little boy. There is no innocence or liveliness in the little boy's eyes at this age, like a mirror reflecting the sky, dim.
The little boy quietly held the kite string in his hand and watched the kite sway in the air.
It was already past lunchtime, and the little boy's stomach was growling loudly. Dad had just brought the food to the table when the doorbell rang out of place. After a few words with a man who couldn't see his face clearly, Dad pushed the little boy away from the back door.
Good boy, go play in the park for a while and wait for Mom, okay
But Mom will be back very late. I'm hungry
Can you go to the park and fly kites for a while? Dad will make stewed pork ribs for you, okay
Hmm. Okay
Well, my son is so good. Go ahead
When the little boy left home, he glanced at the door and saw that the person in black had entered. After his father closed the doors and windows, he didn't see anything.
There are not many people in the park, and in this area of the city, there are helpless people living there. The park, as a place for leisure, is naturally much quieter. Just on the far side of the road, there are some people wearing hats or covering their faces with veils, as if to avoid something or afraid of being seen by others. In the entire park, only the little boy was watching the kite in the sky.
The kite string suddenly snapped, as if it had been forcibly cut by someone else, and the white kite floated away into the distance.
The kite landed on a tree not far from the little boy's house. The tree was withered, and the white kite hung on the treetop, making a rustling sound with the wind. The little boy looked up at the kite for a long time, his head was too small to climb up.
The little boy walked towards the door of his home, and with each step, the fear hidden inside the door seemed to deepen. As soon as the little boy stepped onto the stairs, a crisp "click" sound came from the room.
The little boy pushed open the door and walked into the restaurant, which was a simple and crowded space. The food was neatly placed on the table, but the little boy's father was lying on the ground, biting a towel tightly in his mouth. Dad has an extra axe by his side. Under the dining table, there is a stool with a broken calf on it. That was obviously the little boy's father who placed his calf on it and then chopped it off with an axe.
The little boy's father began to laugh dryly. But he seemed to have no strength to laugh anymore. He coughed a few times and his left calf, which was completely broken and still had skin attached, fell off the table. The only remaining skin was torn apart, and the subcutaneous oil was still sticking. The disconnected artery began to spew blood out, splashing out one after another.
The little boy's father shouted, 'What a sin, what a sin!'
I can't tell whether it's a smile or a cry.
The little boy stared blankly at his father, who was going crazy, and he was scared.
Of course, he couldn't understand what his father meant by shouting 'sin'.
