*Novoland (Chinese: 九州; pinyin: Jiǔ Zhōu, meaning "Nine Provinces") is founded in 2001 by 7 main authors (along with many other authors who aren't as famous), pioneered China's first shared fantasy universe with 9 provinces, 6 races (e.g., Yi [Winged Tribe], Kufai [Giants]), and an 8,000-year dynastic timeline rooted in Confucian ethics and Daoist cosmology.
Basically it can be considered as the Chinese equivalent of Tolkien's Legendarium.
As of now, it consists of over forty books by seven main authors, plus seven television series and four films based on one or more of the novels, most of which are very popular in China.
All of them are set in the same universe: the titular Novoland, which is divided into the Eastern Land and the Eight Tribes.
The stories span over 10,000 years divided into ten eras and sixteen dynasties.

Description

When people mention Yun Zhan of the Winged Tribe from Nanhai City, they never associate him with the term "hero".
Though exceptionally skilled, this rogue hides away his days; while a master detective by trade, he proves more cunning and unscrupulous than the criminals he pursues.
At this time, the mysterious disappearance of a human countess, the crown prince's self-imposed seclusion, a reclusive prince frequently summoning retainers, and a lovely countess hunted by martial artists from all factions.
These intricate clues weave a vast labyrinth of suspicion, plunging everyone into fear of the unknown and clouding their judgment.
Even the habitually carefree Yun Zhan finds himself inexorably drawn into the turmoil, forced to confront this chain of cases with uncharacteristic seriousness...
