Description

Heiner Flassbeck, Constantin Heidegger and Friederike Spiecker give independent, fact-based and competent insights about the national and international economic issues and opportunities of 2022/23 together with fully illustrated visual aids. Designed like a magazine, his biannual atlas is not just for economists, but everyone wanting to understand the complex connections of today s global economy. In this edition the authors focus on the dimensions of the influence the pandemic had on the economy.

Author

Heiner Flassbeck worked with the United Nations in Geneva as chief economist for UNCTAD from 2000 to 2012. Before that he served as secretary of state for the German finance ministry.

Friederike Spiecker has a diploma in economy from Konstanz University. Before she was as a freelance economist concerning herself with national and international economic questions, she worked for the German Institute for Economic Research.

Constantin Heidegger studied physics at the ETH Zurich and received his PhD at CERN. He is a scientific researcher and started studying economics in Freiburg in 2021.
