　　One thing is certain about Dimitris Baslam. The armor he has been wearing ever since he was a child, is very difficult to get rid of. Even though there have been times when he believed he had got rid of it, it appeared right before his eyes the moment he saw it reflected in the eyes of someone else.
　　Thankfully, as the years went by, he has learnt how to recognize it and to try to get rid of each small piece of it. He has also learnt how to let people he loves to rid him of it. And then, finally, he decided to write a story about it. About a young boy and his favorite soft, warm sweater, which he wore always.Even in the summer. [About the author]
Dimitris Baslam lives and works in Athens. As a musician and arts producer he takes part in many concerts and musical productions. He composes music for films and the theatre. From 2012-2016 he taught at Department of Traditional Music of Epirus University. In 2005 he published his first picture book and ever since, he writes music, lyrics and stories for young children and teenagers. In 2013 he was awarded the State Prize for Best Picture Book for his book “The angry cement mixer”, which was also awarded the White Raven distinction as did his other book, “Possibilities” (2017).

[About the illustrator]
Chryso Charalamb ous, originally from Cyprus, was born in Johannesburg. She studied book-illustration in London and New York, while she now lives and works in Nicossia, Cyprus. She still loves visiting the local library of her native city, the place where her love for children’s books began.
