Description

The baritone, Mr. Charitonos, has an obsession with the musical note “La”. This stresses him out so much
he sweats and suffers from feet swelling, an event that doesn’t go unnoticed of course.
As a result, he keeps visiting his favorite shoemaker, Mr. Lavrentis, who in turn provides him
with larger and larger sizes of shoes, reaching eventually the amazing size of 69!
There is nobody and nothing that can calm Mr. Charitonos down. Not even love or the constantly playful
disposition of his pianist assistant or the positive comments by the Maestro…
The story of the book was transferred on stage in the form of a dance theatre production by the Corfu
Municipal Theatre in 2015.
