Description

Hillary stayed home from school one day. She felt that she much preferred to play. But, suddenly, when she tried to speak, she found she couldn t make a squeak. It all started with her pretending that she was ill and needed mending. My tummy hurts, she said, and I m dizzy, too. So she missed her lessons and her words were few.

Author

Ángeles González-Sinde (Madrid, 1965) studied Classics at the Complutense University of Madrid and a Master s Degree at the American Film Institute in Cinematographic Scriptwriting, moving then to Los Angeles. She has write for several television series and films, her work being highly praised and awarded with two Goyas (the Spanish Oscars). Her debut as a director, and one of her most awarded works, was the film La suerte dormida (2003). She also was awarded for the short film about the terrorist attack in Madrid in 2004 Todos íbamos en ese tren. Since December 2006 she has been president of the AACCE (Spanish Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences). Between 2009 and 2011, Ángeles González-Sinde was appointed Culture Minister.

Tesa González (Getxo, 1962) studied at Oviedo s School of Art, where she specialized in design and illustration. Since 1992, she has been devoted professionally to children s illustrations. She has published many works with the market s most important publishing houses, illustrating works by the most prestigious authors. Recently, she has been chosen for the Bratislava Biennial of Children s Illustration. Her work has been acknowledged with several national and international nominations and awards, and lately she has been candidate for the Awards Bologna Children s Book Fair.
