Author
Miha Mazzini is a Slovenian writer, screenwriter, and director, born in 1961. He holds a Master's degree in Creative Writing for Film and Television from the University of Sheffield in the UK and a Doctorate in Human Everyday Life from Institutum Studiorum Humanitatis. Mazzini is the author of over 30 books, including novels, short story collections, and computer manuals. In addition, four of his works have been adapted into films, two of which he directed himself. His works have been translated into more than 10 languages and have received numerous international accolades.
As a writer, his short stories have won the 2012 Pushcart Prize, the 2018 European Best Novel Award, the 2016 Blue Bird Award, the Kresnik Award, and more. As a screenwriter, his scripts have garnered the Golden Palm for Best Film at the 22nd Mostra de València Film Festival and the 1992 European CIRCOM Award for Best Television Film. As a director, he has directed several feature films, documentaries, and short films, earning the Best Director Award at the London Highgate Film Festival and the Best Short Film Award at the 2011 Slovenian Film Festival.
Tanja Komadina (Illustrator)
Tanja Komadina is a Slovenian visual artist, born in 1976, and lives and works in Ljubljana, Slovenia. She graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Ljubljana, majoring in Visual Communication. She is active in the fields of illustration and comics. Komadina works as an illustrator for major Slovenian publishing houses, creating illustrations for numerous children's and young adult books as well as textbooks. She regularly contributes to the most famous Slovenian children's magazines "Ciciban," "Cicido," and the Italian children's magazine "Galeb." Her awards include:
