Author
Andrej Rozman Roza was born in 1955 in Ljubljana. He studied Slovenian language and literature at the University of Ljubljana. He co-founded the "Predprazsdam" honorary audience association with his friends, served as the longtime director and actor of the Ane Monro Theatre, and organized numerous performances by renowned foreign theater troupes in Ljubljana.
He is one of the most famous and prolific authors of children's and young adult literature in our country. He possesses sharp wit, a rich imagination, and a keen sensitivity to current topics. He writes narrative and humorous poetry, composes children’s rhymes, and is also involved in painting. His picture stories are particularly successful, such as the comic character "Kekec," well-known to today’s children, for whom he created works like Kekec v Pehta, Kekec in Bedanec, and Kekec in Prisank.
