Description
These illustrations were created during my interactions with children, a process of constantly healing myself and my own childhood. They have truly helped me, and so I hope they can also help everyone understand and embrace their various emotions, and reconcile with their inner child.
This little book is divided into two parts. Reading from front to back is "Eyes Closed"—we can close our eyes to rest for a while and choose happiness over always being "right." Reading from back to front is "Eyes Open"—these are some of my relatively heavy reflections on facing trauma during my process of self-exploration. Of course, there is no clear boundary between them; most of the time, the two coexist. Opening and closing one's eyes is, in itself, a closed loop.
Through this book, I hope you will not fear growing up, not reject intimacy, and not be too hard on yourself. May you re-parent your inner self, regain a sense of control over your life, calmly accept imperfection, steadfastly favor yourself, and live bravely and passionately.
