Author

Kristina Heldmann is an illustrator and children’s book author living in Berlin, Germany. Since graduating in visual arts from Braunschweig University of Arts in 2000, she’s been working professionally in illustration, text and communication.

Kristina loves exploring the worlds of nature, animals, and people—whether in fiction or non-fiction. Her illustrations are bursting with color and charm, bringing characters to life in a way that’s impossible not to love. Her writing style is a playful mix of humor, warmth, and clarity, making even complex topics engaging and easy to understand.

Her work appears in books, campaigns, and digital media across Germany and beyond.
