In the first part of the book, the author introduces the materials, color palettes, and main watercolor techniques. About twenty flowers, fruits, and vegetables are then explained step by step. Under the name val-tine, Valentine Leclerc paints flowers and other plants she gathers during her walks. She is the co-founder of the brand "Les couleurs VF," which manufactures extra-fine watercolors in Angoulême that are highly acclaimed by the community of emerging French watercolorists.
