Description
Beyond their undeniable sporting prowess and amazing achievements, these 50 female athletes and champions have all led extraordinary lives. Whether it's their personal stories or their commitment, they are impressive and prove that the history of sport is not just written by men. These 50 champions are bringing new visibility to women's sport and influencing attitudes beyond the stadiums. Thanks to them, sexism is becoming more muted and stereotypes and clichés about women are diminishing. They are French, American, Norwegian, Russian, famous or not.
They play athletics, football, boxing, cycling, tennis or judo. They are able-bodied or disabled. This book is a tribute to these legends, these golden women, these exceptional champions. To their achievements as well as their daring battles.
