Review

“Sit back, relax, and follow private investigator Rick Dante as he tries to figure out what the hell is going on. A fun, Florida caper.” —James O. Born, New York Times best-selling author

“Sizzling with Florida heat and razor-sharp humor, One Beach, Two Babes, and The Squid is a deliciously unpredictable romp. Prepare for a wild ride as a lazy beach day turns into a white-knuckle roller-coaster of suspense, wit, and unexpected alliances. In author Buck Buchanan’s world, the most dangerous real-estate deals aren't closed in the office, but on the sun-drenched shores of Crooked Foot Key.” —Paul Levine, author of the Jake Lassiter series

It's been a long time since I laughed this hard while reading a book. And I can't say I've ever read a mystery or suspense that had me giggling and shading funny lines as I struggled to stay awake (I'm a night reader) so I could find out what happens next. I can't recommend this book highly enough -- it's full of insane characters, hold your breath scenes, and clever repartee. I especially liked the His and Her multiple viewpoint approach as the characters sought to figure out who the bad guys and good guys were in this riotous gem of a book.

Buck did it again. Another great book with humor, mystery and excellent dialogue. I particularly liked the alternating chapter narratives. The twists and turns are incredible, and the characters are insane by design. I read this book in one sitting, that's how good it is. Highly recommended!
