Feature
★ A sharp and clear "anti-PUA" literature from Wilde's pen - rejecting meaningless internal strife and embracing a life philosophy that is assertive, warm, and profound.
‘To love oneself is the beginning of a lifelong romance.’
★ A bilingual collection of short quotes in Chinese and English, with original English quotes and professional translations, teaching you to elegantly retort in English.
This book is a bilingual collection of short quotes, carefully translated by Liu Lu, a young translator who graduated from the School of Translation Studies at Beijing Foreign Studies University and has served at the United Nations and the World Health Organization.
The translation is delicate and smooth, with a light and brisk rhythm, restoring the sharpness and elegance of the British wit.
★ A new book from popular illustrator Honghua, launching a cute attack on humanity!
Honghua is skilled at capturing the fleeting expressions of small animals and infusing them with the imagination of fairy tales, giving the birds in her illustrations unique personalities.
With the birds' lively expressions, she interprets Wilde's classic short quotes, making them both witty and adorable.
★ Beautifully designed with unique texture: Romance will never die, just like the moon, always shining bright! The Chinese version features a creative die-cut cover design that can be folded at will, presenting you with a three-dimensional rose. It also comes with a large number of bird-themed accessories and can be licensed simultaneously!
The series consists of three books: "The Pet Dog Suspects The Universe for Schaming to Take It's Place", "‘Humans Are Too Irritable Because I Broke The Rose’ The Little Bird Said", and "The hedgehog can never be the cat in another’s embrace".
Description
Life is inherently a mixture of good and bad, with thorns and flowers coexisting. We merely meet in the mire, but the birds never stay here.
Never submit to this mediocre world. Bravely chase the light of your passion, always carrying the thorns, and grow freely.
Author
A great master of language in Britain after Shakespeare and the spokesperson of aestheticism. Wilde was born into a prominent family and was exceptionally talented. At the age of 20, he was admitted to Oxford University with a full scholarship and left behind timeless works in drama, novels, poetry, and fairy tales. He dressed flamboyantly and had an unrestrained personality. His life was full of controversies. Borges highly praised him, saying, "No one was more charming than him."
In 1900, Wilde passed away in Paris. Although his physical body has gone, his charm lives on through his writings. For over a hundred years, countless admirers have visited his grave to pay their respects. His tombstone, covered with the lip prints of his admirers, has become a unique sight in the local area.
