Tuo Xiaoxin

A popular Chinese comic artist from Zhangjiajie, Hunan, Tuo Xiaoxin graduated from the China Academy of Art and began his career at Hangzhou Summer Island Film & Animation in 2008. In March 2017, he left Summer Island due to disputes over unfair treatment and later regained the rights to Fox Spirit Matchmaker with support from Tencent Animation.
Known for his humorous self-depiction as a short-snouted crocodile—often “killed off” in comics to joke about his occasional delays in updates—Tuo has created popular works such as Fox Spirit Training Manual, Soul Strategy, and Fox Spirit Matchmaker.

Miao Wenjing

A contemporary Chinese web novelist and screenwriter specializing in historical and fantasy genres, Miao Wenjing began her screenwriting career with the 2014 TV series Snow Eagle. She gained widespread recognition with the 2018 drama Mysterious Beauty and continued her success with Moon Song (2022). In 2025, her original work Worry-Free Ferry was adapted into a TV series, and her screenplay Bamboo Pavilion by the Huai River sparked discussion for its innovative themes.
