Mo Fei is a Chinese comic artist and a 2015 graduate of the Sculpture Department at the Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts.
In his sophomore year, he won a Silver Award in a comic competition for his short work Full Moon, and was praised by Matsuoka Hiroharu, the former editor of Astro Boy, for being “finally a Chinese author telling a genuinely Chinese story.”
Known for his distinctive, masterful art style and his love for Stephen Chow’s absurdist humor, his works balance comedy and emotional weight. His major works include The Chosen One, The Law of Yan Wang, The Legend of Mo Fei, and Chu Wu. Among them, The Chosen One earned both the Golden Dragon Award and the International Manga Award.
