Feature
★ Disruptively deconstruct the pseudo-concept of race and systematically explain the deep mechanism of the cognitive gap between genetic science and institutional reality.
★ Panoramically review the thousand-year evolution of racial concepts, reveal how to dismantle the colonial discourse system, and lay the foundation for modern pluralistic civilization.
Description
For several decades, the scientific community has been saying that it's wrong to talk about human races. Even so, people still refer to them in all sorts of places: constitutions, dictionaries, questionnaires, and forms of all kinds. While genetics clearly supports the claim that human races do not exist, society and institutions seem to be much less certain. We will address this discrepancy, recounting the origins and history of human races and the fundamental contribution that science has made to putting an end to the long-standing deception of their existence and legitimacy.
Author
Michele Pompei, a former journalist, director, author, and radio host, has collaborated with the Bologna editions of Repubblica and Corriere della Sera, covering culture and society.
