Description
Triomf del present brings together a large number of the poems written by Francesc Parcerisas over thirty-five years. The poems and poetic prose in this collection, from early titles that are impossible to find today (or even unpublished) and from absolutely essential volumes of his literary biography, are a unique testimony to the emotional, aesthetic, and political shaping of this writer, a leading figure in modern Catalan poetry. These poems are born of experience, of Horace’s carpe diem, celebrating the ephemeral and contingent in an attempt to lighten the burden of the past and explore the bitter pleasures of life.
