Description

This is the first photo book dedicated to giant panda Fubao.

Born on July 20, 2020, at Samsung Everland in South Korea, Fubao is the first cub of Le Bao (Yuan Xin) and Ai Bao (Hua Ni), and the first giant panda born through natural breeding in South Korea. Her name was chosen by Chinese and Korean fans through a vote, meaning “the treasure that brings happiness.” In South Korea, people affectionately call her “Princess Fubao,” “Piggy Fubao,” “Dun Bonnie,” and some fans even compare her beauty to Korean star Son Ye-jin, nicknaming her “Fu Ye-jin.”

Written by the “panda writer” Jiang Lin with delicate prose, the book fully chronicles Fubao’s family history (father Le Bao, mother Ai Bao, younger sisters Rui Bao and Hui Bao), her birth, her playful growth, and the heartwarming “mutual devotion” between her and her keepers, Kang Cheol-won and Song Young-kwan. It also features over 100 precious photos by photographers from China, Japan, and South Korea, including exclusive images of Fubao’s birthday parties and her return to China.

This is not only a chronicle of a panda’s life but also a gift for anyone who loves life and longs for healing.
