Description

We live in a society characterized by speed, demands and little time to enjoy our children. We have less time than we would like to spend with them. We have a world that is increasingly technologically connected but less emotionally and socially connected. Scientific studies have shown that to develop secure bonds in our children and foster their autonomy, empathy and self-esteem, quality time is needed. Human beings overcome the dependency of the first years of life thanks to the good treatment they receive from their attachment figures throughout their childhood and adolescence.

In this book you will find clear and practical explanations of the importance of connection and bonding with our children, as well as a deep development of the different attachment styles, how to differentiate a need from a desire and the characteristics that parents must have to act as secure attachment figures. Here we describe how sleep, food, play and the abuse of electronic devices influence the bonds we establish with our children. Rafa Guerrero, psychologist and doctor in Education, explains in a simple and practical way the keys to fostering safe relationships with our children to ensure that they have good self-esteem, conflict resolution skills and are empathetic and resilient.
