Feature

★ Everything science knows about preventing cancer and living longer.

Description

The word “cancer” is tinged with fear and pain. And rightly so, as scientific evidence is abundant and supports the fact that one in three of us will suffer from it in our lifetime. But this disease is not inevitable, to the extent that half of the most common cancers could be avoided by acting on our lifestyles and the external factors we can control. In this book, Emilia Gómez Pardo, PhD in Molecular Biology, helps us to become aware of how to improve our habits in order to achieve a long and healthy life. Drawing on cutting-edge scientific advances in cancer research, Gómez Pardo sets out in black and white the risks involved in the wrong actions and offers us simple solutions, far removed from the wave of fads and false beliefs to which we are exposed today.

An essential book in which Emilia Gómez Pardo’s experience as a scientist and her knowledge of nutrition are masterfully combined to form part of the daily life of every household. In the information age, we lacked an evidence-based book to inspire prevention of diseases such as cancer.
