Description

Taking professionalism to the next level! This book is primarily divided into four parts: the birth of life, insects, island organisms, and other animal categories. It covers a wide range of topics related to the extinction and evolution of organisms, from simple questions like “Can dinosaurs be created using chicken genes?” to serious topics like “How should we perceive biodiversity?”. The book includes mysterious stories about Hox genes, how horses survived extinction, and the evolutionary strategies of insects against bats. In addition, each of the 25 stories in the book comes with an independent column which is not in the online comic series. Even a casual reading of these columns will provide readers with a wealth of knowledge. Finally, in two postscripts, the author presents unique insights into “extinction” and “biodiversity,” reflecting his fundamental attitudes towards humanity and organisms.
Following the success of the previous two books, “Evolutionary Theory of Insects in Comics” and “Ecology of Dinosaurs in Comics”, this book completes the “Trilogy of Evolutionary Theory”. Let's delve into the advanced biology knowledge lectures prepared by one of the finest science communicators!

Author

Gallois
A Biologist and Cartoonist.
Interested in dinosaurs since childhood, Gallois aspired to become a dinosaur scholar, while feeling betrayed by it for his hardly digging in the playground with nothing found, and then he changed his interest in insects, which is everywhere and embarked on the road of studying insects.
At one point, with dreams of becoming an astronaut, he serialized the comic “Odyssey”, which won the SFAward Comic Award organized by the Gwacheon National Science Museum in 2017. Besides, he has also serialized many scientific comics, including “Comprehensive Understanding of Dinosaur Ecology in Comics” (already published).
Regarding future plans, the author aims to continue professional research while using comics as a tool to popularize scientific knowledge.
