Author
Emanuele Coccia is associate professor at l’École des Hautes Etudes en Sciences Sociales (EHESS) in Paris since 2011. Among his works, translated in many languages, are La vita sensibile (2016), La vita delle piante (2018), Metamorfosi (2020 ) and Filosofia della casa (2023). With the photographer Viviane Sassen, he published a book of photo theory (Modern Alchemy, 2022). He’s been invited as research professor by the univesities of Tokyo (2009), Buenos Aires (2010), Düsseldorf (2013-2014), Columbia (2015-2016) e Harvard (2022), where he gave a lecture on Alessandro Michele. He directed several amination video and worked in the art’s world, editing the catalogues of the XXIII Triennale of Architecture and Design of Milano “Unknown Unknowns. An Introduction to Mysteries”.
