Review

Without exaggeration, I love Trip with Drip. Josephine Mark is the new talent among young German comic artists and authors. The story of the ailing rabbit and his strong protector is touching, the drawings and characters are huggable, but above all Josephine's sure sense of tact and timing as well as the snappy dialogues make this little tall tale a rare reading pleasure. There is so much in it! And rarely has the subject of illness been put on paper with such care and pleasure. A comforting encouragement for young and old and, by the way, a comic that is rarely produced in this country: Warm-hearted and very, very funny!

Description

When a shy rabbit with cancer saves a wolf's life by chance, none of them knows that it's just the beginning of the most unlikely friendship ever.
According the Wolves' Honor Code, the wolf now has to look after the rabbit to return the favor. He's obviously annoyed by the irony: a strong predator such as him ending up protecting his own prey.
But the wolf abides by the rules, and, as a result, not only does he have to save both of them from a trigger-happy hunter at their heels, but he also has to make sure that the helpless rabbit gets his infusions and medication on time. All this over a road trip, which means staying at cheap motels, meeting biker gangs, bears, other wolves, dealing with the unforgiving nature etc... But is it just because of the Wolves' Code of Honor that the wolf stays with the rabbit or is that true friendship?
