Description

Arrrr, here be treasure! A hapless pirate digs for rubies, diamonds, and coins, but after three attempts, two naps, and one lousy map, he's unearthed nothing but a sore back and serious misgivings. Blistering barnacles! It's left to his trusty dog to save the day, and fortunately, he comes through in a big way. With die-cut holes and suprises at every turn, Dig Here is a lobster of a different color!

Author

David is an award-winning and bestselling author and illustrator of over 40 books, including Book, The Interactive Constitution, Allegro, Unicorn and Horse, and other titles. He has worked as a designer, illustrator, and creative director, and he now runs Bushel & Peck Books with his wife, Stephanie. He’s been named a CYBILS Award Finalist, Publishers Weekly Star Watch Nominee, Trvst Changemaker, New York Book Show Award Winner, and Bill Fisher Award Finalist, among other accolades. He lives in Fresno, California, with his family.

Stephanie Miles is the author of several books for kids and has worked as a preschool teacher and special education aide. She graduated from Fresno State University with a degree in child development. Stephanie is also a warrior. In 2011, she was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis (MS). In her free time, she loves to cycle, garden, decorate, and count her son’s freckles. She and her family live in California.

Olga Zakharova (a.k.a., FaveteArt) is a self-taught illustrator and letterer with two bachelor’s degrees that have nothing to do with art. Olga was born in Moscow, Russia, but moved to Latvia to find some peace and quiet. She now lives in an eco-village in the forest with her husband. Surrounded by nature on a daily basis, she finds inspiration in organic shapes and the perfect imperfections of the world. Her style is a mix of playful forms and cute characters drawn by hand and then digitized. When she is not working on illustrations, she can be found sleeping or being a doorwoman for her cats.
