Description

Boris Kartoff is a painter. An artist! Things were going well. He painted many paintings but then he ran out of ideas. After finishing a self-portrait he doesn’t know what else to paint. Searching for Kazimir, his lost cat, he discovers that there are many things around the city just waiting to be painted!

Author

【Author】Núria Homs

Born in Barcelona in 1969. She holds a degree in Art History from the University of Barcelona. She has collaborated with various museums, galleries and art centers and has been with the Antoni Tàpies Foundation since 1999, where she currently serves as the director. While creating her artwork, she has also published more than a dozen books on children's literature, as well as a number of stories in magazines and collective books.
She received the Apel·les Mestres Award (the most traditional and prestigious prize for illustrated children's books in Spain).

【Illustrator】Mercè Canals

Born in Badalona in 1970, she studied applied and craft arts at the Pogaro School in Badalona. To date, she has been developing her work in children's and youth literature and textbooks, working with national and international publishers as an illustrator for children's and youth literature. She has won numerous awards:
1992 Lola Anglada Illustration Prize
1993-95 Caterina Albert i Paradís Second Prize
1993-94-97-06 Finalist for the Apel·les Mestres Award.
1996 OEPLI Youth Book Week Honorable Mention
1999 Selected for A todo color exhibition by the Ministry of Culture
2005 Mercer Limona Illustration First Prize
2005 Selected for the Ilustrísimos exhibition in Bologna
2010 Messe Limona Prize
