Description
When he became an adult, seeing his six-year-old nephew Bobic like listening to stories and playing the piano very much, he created a series of piano music that he could play. Each capital mentions a wonderful story, a fictional adventure, a toy or a trip. He gave all these works very eye-catching titles so that when Bobik played these music, he would imagine them and enjoy them more.
He named this piano music suite "Juvenile Collection" in memory of Robert Schumann, whom he admired. When referring to this suite, he wrote: "...I started to collect inspiration for children. I always thought it would be good to enrich the piano repertoire that children are very scarce. I want to write a complete series of small pieces, very simple , The title is very attractive to children, such as Schumann’s."
This book tells the story of how Tchaikovsky came up with the songs in "The Collection of Boys". You can listen to this story on the CD, using Tchaikovsky's background music, which is this wonderful piano suite designed by him for his nephew.
Tchaikovsky's "The Juvenile Collection" was inspired by Robert Schumann's collection of the same name. Tchaikovsky created it for teaching purposes and intends to expand the piano repertoire for students.
This is a very beautiful, inspiring and poetic suite that introduces us to a magical kingdom, and we will find this world in his great works and ballets.
