Description

Steyr, in the year of the Lord, 1388. A series of gruesome murders, renounced heretics and the fanatical inquisitor Petrus Zwicker plunge the city into fear and terror. Members of the Waldensian movement are hunted and tortured as heretics, pyre blaze up. In the midst of the raven-black event, an intrepid couple investigates: Falk von Falkenstein and his wife Christine. But then Falk, who himself keeps a terrible secret, falls under the eye of the Inquisitor and is in mortal danger.

Author

Peter Orontes
"Peter Orontes" is the pseudonym of the author Peter Glowotz, he was born in Venezuela and grew up near Lake Constance. After studying graphic design and painting, he worked in various agencies as an art director. He has been working as a freelance communication designer and copywriter for many years. He is interested in foreign cultures as well as literature and history. In 2009 he published his first historical crime novel »The Soul Merchant«. In 2015 his first thriller "The Hour of the Octopus" followed, which he published under the real name of Gmeiner Publishing. "Daughter of the Inquisition", Orontes' second historical novel has now also been published by Gmeiner.
