Review

“With just a single chapter of the author‘s opening note and no actual story content yet, the novel had already received over 588,000 requests for updates and over 1.08 million readers waiting. To have over a million readers before the book even starts—you won’t find another case like this in recent years.”
— Toutiao (Today‘s Headlines)

“Clear character progression, vivid action sequences—perfect for building iconic battle scenes and memorable moments. ‘The Divine Bone’ doesn’t need to reinvent Tudou‘s signature style. As long as it maintains smooth action, a complete world-building system, and emotional rhythm while balancing nostalgia with innovation, it will keep his loyal fanbase engaged.”
— Reader comment

Feature

★ A new blockbuster novel from Tiancan Tudou, one of China‘s most successful online fantasy writers. Before the first chapter was even posted, his opening author’s note alone drew over 3 million readers. Within its first week of serialization, the novel surpassed 8.4 million active readers. Print rights and multimedia adaptation rights (animation, comics, etc.) are currently in active bidding. Industry analysts estimate total IP adaptation value could exceed 1.5 billion yuan (approx. 210 million USD).
★ The author‘s previous works include “Battle Through the Heavens,” which sold over 3 million print copies and garnered nearly 10 billion online views. His novels have been recognized by the National Library of China and the China Writers Association as classics of online literature. Multiple titles have been licensed in Korean, Thai, Vietnamese, English, Japanese, and more.
★ A brand-new Eastern fantasy world: “All living beings possess divine bones within, capable of inscribing and carrying countless mystical arts, wielding power over fire, wind, thunder, lightning, the stars themselves.” Those who awaken divine bones are called Divine Practitioners.
★ The protagonist obtains the legendary “Buddha’s Fury Lotus” — a signature technique from the author‘s earlier masterpiece “Battle Through the Heavens” — triggering a wave of discussion across the web.
★ A classic “underdog rises” narrative with intense conflict and fast pacing. As one reader puts it: “Clear character growth, vivid action scenes—perfect for building iconic moments.”

Description

In this world, every living being carries divine bones within their flesh—a sacred vessel that can inscribe and wield countless mystical arts. With these bones, one can command fire and wind, summon thunder and lightning, swallow the sun and pluck the stars, trap demons and imprison gods. Those who awaken divine bones are known as Divine Practitioners.

Lu Ming, a boy of fourteen or fifteen, was born into the Thunderfire Hall in Qingyuan Ward. He stands tall and resolute, his spine as straight as a spear. The divine bone he was born with determines everything in this world. Before he can establish his own path to greatness, he first witnesses a crushing betrayal.

Zhang Yue, the Thunderfire Hall‘s most talented disciple—possessing a high-grade divine bone—had represented the Hall in the Fengyang Prefecture Divine Pavilion Competition and placed in the top ten. It was the Hall’s proudest achievement. Yet upon his triumphant return, Zhang Yue, backed by the daughter of the Grand Golden Crow Pavilion master, publicly announced his departure—and demanded the Thunderfire Hall take the blame, declaring itself “short-sighted and blind to true talent” in order to preserve Zhang Yue’s reputation.

The Thunderfire Hall had poured everything into Zhang Yue for years—siphoning resources from its own members, with Lu Ming‘s own father and uncle risking their lives in the treacherous “Black Rain Zone” to secure cultivation materials for this “genius.” Now, he walks away with nothing left.

Facing the overwhelming power of the Grand Golden Crow Pavilion—a fifth-rank Divine Pavilion led by a Divine Grandmaster—Hall Master Lu Jin has no choice but to bow his head and accept the humiliation. The Thunderfire Hall’s best years are behind it. But Lu Ming has witnessed everything.

When the weak are trampled, when resources are plundered, when dignity is stripped away—the forgotten boy will rise.

And sometimes, the ones who have been ground into the dirt stand the firmest of all.
