Khet Zaw (a pseudonym) was born in Bago, near Rangoon. He began his career as a journalist at The Voice Daily newspaper and later worked as an editor for Real Life Real Stories magazine. Following a brief imprisonment in 2017, he turned to fiction, drawing heavily on history, reportage, and lived experience. Since 2021, he has been living in exile, continuing to write fiction shaped by Myanmar's turbulent political realities.
