Feature

An essay in conversation form between a therapist and a client, offering a safe place to speak for those who needs to feel understood.

Description

Why am I always tired?
Why did they treat me that way?
If these questions feel familiar, this book may already be speaking to you.

Co-written by therapist Lim Ryewon and client-turned-writer Siwol, this book invites readers into the therapy room. It is for those who have tried hard to be “good,” kind, and understanding—often at the cost of their own feelings. It speaks to people who feel worn down without knowing why, who struggle to name their emotions, or who have spent so long putting others first that they no longer know what they want.

Through real counseling conversations, the book explores childhood experiences, family relationships, emotional numbness, and the quiet inner voice shaped by years of expectation. Yet its focus is not on
pain itself, but on recovery: learning the language of emotion, setting boundaries without guilt, and understanding that change can happen slowly, safely, and on your own terms. For anyone who feels emotionally tired, disconnected, or unsure where to begin, this book offers gentle encouragement—and a place to start.
