Feature
★ An “emotional ecology” primer for children in an anxious age. Spring procrastination, autumn depression, summer burnout—the challenges faced by the seasons mirror the psychological metaphors of modern life. This picture-book series cleverly links natural cycles with emotional well-being: How do you encourage a sluggish friend? How do you comfort someone who feels worthless? How can you unite and collaborate to face a crisis? Using the forest community as a model, the book offers children a soft yet resilient toolkit for navigating life’s challenges.
★ A “problem-solving” approach to nature education: When the seasons become friends in need of help. Traditional seasonal picture books stop at mere observation, but this series takes a bold, innovative step: It portrays the four seasons as anthropomorphic characters who can go on strike, cry, or grow weak, inviting children to shift from being passive observers to active problem-solvers. By organizing a spring mobilization meeting, an autumn comfort party, and a summer drought-relief campaign, young readers naturally develop systems thinking, resource coordination, and a sense of ecological responsibility as they follow the stories. The author embeds rigorous natural science principles within these imaginative tales.
The series currently consists of three titles: “Bring Spring Back,” “Hurry Up and Help Summer,” and “Let’s Celebrate Autumn.”
Description
Autumn is terribly sad: It’s convinced that no one likes it, and its tears of sorrow fall as endless autumn rain. To comfort it, the robin Louis and his friends in the forest decide to throw a celebration in its honor. Colorful leaf garlands, beautifully decorated pumpkins, fragrant and delicious food—everything is ready! Let the autumn festival begin!
