Description

Follow the videos to do experiments with your hands; read fairy tales and ask questions with your mind! Classic fairy tales are reimagined with scientific elements, paired with science explanations and STEAM experiment activities—embark on a fairy tale exploration adventure!

Book Features
- 12 classic fairy tales reimagined with scientific elements
The "Fairy Tales with STEAM" series has 2 books, presenting a fairy tale world filled with scientific elements for curious, imaginative kids. The two books focus on the physics topics "Mechanics" and "Optics" respectively, re-adapting 12 classic fairy tales. This lets kids enjoy stories like The Three Little Pigs, Aladdin, The Shoe Seller, The Farmer Pulls the Radish, Dumbo, Snow White, The Little Mermaid, Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves, Alice in Wonderland, Gulliver’s Travels (Giant Country & Lilliput), Beauty and the Beast, and The Happy Prince from a brand-new perspective!

- Fairy Tale Science Q&A
After each story, there is a "Fairy Tale Science Q&A" section. It guides readers to find confusing points in the story, uses a Q&A format to encourage them to think about related scientific principles, and extends learning with real-life examples.
The knowledge sections of the two books cover different properties and applications of force and light: Book 1 includes combustion, action and reaction forces, the inconveniences/benefits of friction, plants, center of gravity, air flow, and magnetism; Book 2 includes light propagation, colored light, reflection and refraction of light, rainbow formation, and camera principles.

- Simple and fun STEAM experiment activities
After building a basic science knowledge foundation, readers can do STEAM experiments (activities integrating Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) to solve daily life problems. This series includes 12 easy experiments—materials are just daily household tools, and they can be completed in a short time. Book 1’s experiments include balloon-powered rocket, air cushion boat, wall-climbing prank toy, non-falling bottle cap, air suspension ball, and magnet bee; Book 2’s experiments include treasure hunt on paper: homemade paper flashlight, disappearing act: cellophane decoder, fat to thin: homemade funhouse mirror, clear view: water drop magnifier, paper photography: cardboard box camera, and colorful radiation: homemade rainbow.

- Included experiment making & demonstration videos
The entire process of the 12 experiments (making and conducting) is presented in real videos. Just scan the QR code of each activity with a mobile phone to watch the video directly—step-by-step instructions are clearer and easier to follow.

If our bodies grew wings, could we fly?
Does the Little Mermaid really have a magical ability like a magic carpet?
When the Little Mermaid falls into the dark deep sea, how can she see things clearly?
When Alice gets lost in the mirror maze, why does her reflection become thin and tall?

After reading the stories, will you think about the details and keep asking "why"?
This series focuses on two key physics fields: "Mechanics" and "Optics," re-adapting 12 classic fairy tales with interesting scientific elements. Each story is followed by "Fairy Tale Science Q&A" (explaining the scientific principles behind the story) and "STEAM D.I.Y." (using clear graphics and videos to show how to use daily items to make experiments and solve life problems).
This book connects the fairy tale world to scientific exploration activities. It helps cultivate kids’ curiosity, and unleash their imagination and creativity. Let’s start the fairy tale exploration adventure together!
