Description
I love freedom and creative things, but what I dislike most is being forced to learn.
I enjoy writing in my diary. I love raising my hand to answer questions. I like chatting with my teacher.
I like playing funny tricks on Mom and Dad. I love teasing my cousin, Popcorn.
In the stories of this book, I've started a new life with a little brother! Along the way, I've encountered many new "troubles" that are both sweet and bittersweet: I feel like Rice Cake is more like Mom's real child. I taught my brother that wasting is a bad habit. I wanted to make friends with a caterpillar, but was told not to play with unfamiliar insects. When Mom's expectations fell through, when I got lost, when I won an award—these experiences all helped me understand myself better.
The book contains nine fun stories, each followed by a 30-second psychological comic that acts like a fast-forward button for the little theater in my heart—it shows me what to do when lost, how to react when receiving gifts from friends, not to eat expired food... and how to discover my own strengths.
In this book, you'll see me grow from a slightly nervous little kid into a primary schooler who knows how to care for others, keeps promises, and bravely faces challenges. I hope that as you read, you'll laugh along with me and grow your own courage and wisdom too!
