Description

Remember when getting together as a family to watch TV wasn’t an endangered activity? Then this book about programs that “couldn’t be made” today, or wouldn’t have a place in the current programming schedule, is for you.
If you had your snack in front of El diario de Patricia, you’re a true millennial. Did you get your first pimples while watching Al salir de clase? Did you suffer every week with the storylines of Compañeros and like Quimi or Valle? Were you excited about the first Triunfitos and covered your folder with their photos? Can you sing No cambié by Tamara-Ámbar-Yurena without mistakes and hum the intro to ¿Qué apostamos? effortlessly? Do you remember Mercedes Milá’s "Welcome to live life" on Gran Hermano, or the jokes by Chiquito de la Calzada and Pozí? Did you watch Esta noche cruzamos el Mississippi or Crónicas Marcianas without your parents' permission? Or were you more into Contacto con tacto, Hotel Glam, and Next?

“No hemos salido tan mal” (We haven’t turned out so bad) is the expression of a generation that grew up in front of the television in the 1990s and 2000s, a journey through the formats that accompanied us from childhood to adulthood.

Because “this is my story, Patricia.”

Author

Sonia Mangas (San Sebastián, 1987) learned to talk at 9 months old, when she didn't even have teeth yet and tablets hadn't been invented to keep her quietly entertained. After watching television for hours and hours since she was a baby, she now devotes herself to it as a creator of content specializing in the small screen (Finalist in the 20Minutos 2024 Creators Awards in the entertainment category). She has collaborated on television in Zapeando (La Sexta), Quédate (ETB), and on radio in Podría ser peor on RNE.
